Salt Plain
Coastal
Norfolk lands diverse,
Migrating
birds from here disperse,
Such
wide expanse yet private view,
The
crowds of tourist
travellers drew,
The
tidal ebb the salt plain stretch,
A
picture postcard here could fetch,
Yet
now such silent planet sight,
Creeping
waters in clouded light,
Retreat,
respect the flooding shore,
Erasing
tidemarks of afore,
Not
once the same from day to day,
The
wetland blue print washed away.
