Sun Down
Today
stood still for she who mourns,
In
friendship we feel pain,
Though
rising sun was bright and gold,
No
tears were shed in shame.
Swift,
short breeze blew a lifespan past,
Brief
prayers of nervous doubt,
Is
life enriched by such farewells
To
carry on without?
Now
shadows cold, and feelings numb,
Like
falling trees around,
Let
nature close the clasp of grief,
Move
fast to solid ground.
Turn
now, away from dying pains
Draw
fast to love alive,
This
strength will give you greater cause,
This
loss you will survive.
One
man’s dawn in another’s dusk,
Each
day the sun goes down,
Rise
up strong for the morning sun,
Share
living warmth around.
