Lakeside

Tranquil reeds and mirrored sheen,

Sunken prints where feet have been,

Feathered haven out of reach,

A wildlife wonder inland beach.

Freeze a second either way,

Mute the sound of leaves that sway,

Add the future, leave the past,

Keep sight of things you think will last.

Here’s the setting - draw a chair,

Timeless choice in monochrome share,

Clean the brushes, take the time,

Picture this perfect picture through mine.
